Radon Risk Barometer 2021
The Risk Barometer determines at regular intervals how the Austrian population perceives the risk of various factors influencing its own health. In addition, it is determined how well the Austrian population is informed about potential risks. The focus in 2021 was on the risk perception of the noble gas radon.
Since 2020, Austria has had its own Radon Protection Ordinance, which, as part of the Radiation Protection Act, is intended to ensure the long-term protection of Austrians against the harmful effects of the noble gas radon. The results of the risk barometer are to form the basis for future communication measures.
